BIG in mental health is a registered charity. Matt Coleclough helped set up the charity with current Chair Frances Halligan back in 2011. They started out as an independant voice in mental health who spoke on behalf of service users at various board meetings. The charity now runs six weekly support groups helping people with every type of mental health complaint. Matt has previously had the role of treasurer, volunteer co-ordinator and speaker during his time working with the charity. It was as part of Matt’s work with BIG in mental health that Matt received the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS). Matt continues to enjoy giving talks at BIG which are always well attended. Visit their website to find out when Matt is next speaking.
